2021 Chevy Trax Redesign – General Motors has been using the capital market day event to secretly launch a new crossover teaser from the Chevrolet. Looking like a baby Blazer, this model has a sleek gril that sits atop large intake water. On either side, there is a sleek headlight with a built-in daytime LED running light.

Moving backward, this model has a distinctive front fender featuring the same ‘ hidden curve ‘ design as the Chevrolet Silverado 2019. This Crossover also has a shoulder line sweeping upwards that mimics a dynamic greenhouse. Other stylish features a sloped roof and a sleek mirror.

While GM does not mention the new crossover, it is indicated that the Chevrolet Trax 2020 or 2021. A camouflaged prototype was seen last spring and apparently the production model would be more aggressive.

Little is known about Trax at the moment, but reportedly the crossover will go up on the new Vehicle Set Strategy (VSS) platform. The Platform is expected to replace the aging Gamma II architecture and the new generation Buick Encore as well as the new compact crossover from GMC that can be called Granite.

Chevy Trax Engine

Trax currently uses a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp (103 kW/140 PS) and a 148 lb-ft torque (200 Nm). Combined with a six-speed automatic transmission that can send power to the drive system of all wheels. For new cars, it is reportedly fixed with the same machine but the power output is larger. There is also mention of the transmission used 8 acceleration.

The small SUV invasion continues, though being a fair Chevrolet Trax is already a soldier in the frontline. In fact, Trax received a new refresh last year, but since we are all very conscious, things move very fast in the SUV world today. That’s why the Chevrolet has an all-new Trax scheduled to arrive at 2020 or 2021, and our Spy photographer at the Milford GM proves northwest of the Detroit neighborhood caught this photo – we’re very first to see the new Runabout.

The camouflage on this prototype is still heavy, but the new model seems to be a tad bigger than the current offerings. It’s backed by our inner source that says the next Trax will grow inside and out and may be able to ride on a VSS-S platform that can support various models. Another possibility is the tweak version of the Gamma-2 platform used by the current Trax, but whatever is underneath it, the baby crossover should be a bit more passenger friendly.

Despite attempts to conceal the revamped SUV look, we can see Trax will adapt quite a few styling cues from the new Chevy blazer. The profile picture reveals the rear window and the C-pillar is more resembling a Blazer that is contrary to the current Trax, and we suspect a set of nearly identical thin lamps being behind the camouflage cover in front. The pre-production backlight seems to be used on the back side, and although it looks a bit large on the back, we expect Trax to maintain a small slope to the roof.
