New 2023 Chevy Colorado Rumors, Redesign – The rumor is in the wind about GM’s plans to re-engineer the Chevrolet Colorado and siblings GMC Canyon for 2023. Over the past few years, Colorado has been a strong seller for buyers in the medium truck market, especially rugged-and-ready ZR2 models that hold its own with a crowd-pleasing Ford F-150 Raptor. In 2018, Colorados 134,842 sold in the US, second only to the sale of 245,659 Toyota Tacomas in the same market category.
To say that a Colorado Pickup is old design would underestimate. The intermediate model is revealed for the 2013 model and never looks fresh. But Chevrolet knows how to spice things up in the design department.

Kleber Silva tries to imagine a new model. Her redesign is primarily focused on the front end, as budget restrictions restrict the ornaments you find in the car market. For some reason, designers largely rely on the styling of the larger Silverado trucks, but on a crossover model.
The second generation of Colorado is a great choice for truck buyers who want a tough, versatile pickup that has a good acceleration yet fuel-efficient. Since its introduction in 2012, GM has only made small changes to Colorado each year, with the exception of 2015 when some more substantial enhancements were made.
In the model year, the body style is modernized and the truck is given a more upright stance. The interior of the Colorado 2015 boasted a larger and improved stack center featuring more tech gadgets. GM also simplified the buyer’s choice for two powertrains instead of three years earlier.
When compared to a complete redesign that many cars implement every 10 years or more models, this enhancement is not so significant. While most Colorado owners seem to be happy with their choice, Colorado will be in the window of time for design improvements by 2023. But it is unclear how much of an improvement GM would do.
It’s got a narrow lamp connected to the grid, a bit like Chevy Traverse, but obviously less appealing. This Crossover was renewed for this model year, so it is a good indication for where the design of the company is led.
According to our report, the new Colorado will not be available until 2023. That’s when the intermediate pickup would make a switch to the 31XX-2 platform and start scrolling from the assembly line in Wentzville.
Next-generation Colorado with 31xx-2 architecture is expected to be sold in domestic and international markets, according to rumors. Currently, GM sells two versions of Colorado: North American Chevrolet Colorado and Chevrolet Colorado for international markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, South America, and the Middle East. The version has different styles, interiors, and powertrain components but does share the same platform 31xx. GM wants to merge two versions into one.
What this means is that the very likely Chicago buyers who bought the new GM Colorado in 2023 will have the same or very similar trucks as buyers in Canberra or Bangkok or elsewhere in the world. GM’s move to unite the Colorado platform will allow cars to reduce manufacturing costs and buckles down in the face of unreliable markets.
The Chevy is also a Globetrotter because it is also assembled in Brazil, where it is sold as S10. Thailand also manufactures intermediate models, although that will stop at the end of 2020.
Colorado is one of the few medium-sized trucks that offer a lot of variety. You can get extended cabin models with short and long beds. There are also three machine options.
2023 Chevy Colorado Engine
We expect the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado to offer only one option engine-turbo-charged GM 2.7 L L3B four-cylinder engine with TriPower technology. In Silverado 1500, the engine made 310 horsepower (231 kW) @ 5600 RPM and 348 pound-foot torque (471 nm) @ 1500 RPM. The 10-speed automatic transmission will be the only power option.
2023 Chevy Colorado will continue to be assembled at the factory GM Wentzville in Missouri by GM USA. GM Sao Jose dos Campos factory in Brazil will make the vehicle for the South American market.
2023 Chevy Colorado Release Date
We expect 2023 Chevy Colorado to begin in the second half of the calendar year 2022. A debut in the first half of the 2022 calendar year is possible.
We expect that the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado to represent the first model of the third generation, Colorado. The vehicle is expected to live in at least through the model 2027 years. The plan after that is unclear.
