2025 Chevy Silverado EV RST: What Will It Look Like?

2025 Chevy Silverado EV RST

The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV RST is poised to significantly impact the electric truck segment of the fast-growing electric vehicle market.

The Silverado EV RST is competitive with other electric trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Rivian R1T because of its unique features, powerful performance, and affordable price.

Performance and Range

The sophisticated Ultium EV Platform, which also supports the GMC Hummer EV, is the foundation of the 2025 Silverado EV RST.

Multiple range combinations and two- and three-motor options are also possible on this platform. With Wide Open Watts Mode on, the RST First Edition Silverado EV produces 754 horsepower and over 785 pound-feet of torque.

The electric pickup can reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill in less than 4.5 seconds thanks to its power, making it far quicker than most conventional trucks powered by internal combustion engines (ICEs).

The Silverado EV WT and RST have a full-electric range of around 400 miles, giving drivers plenty of room for short, extended journeys.

The Silverado EV RST features four-wheel steering and an adjustable air suspension system for better control and comfort on the road.

Design and Features

LEDs are used for all external lighting on the 2025 Silverado EV RST, from the fog lights to the headlights and the taillights.

The bumpers and mirrors are finished in chrome, and the wheels are 18 inches long. The Silverado EV RST’s fixed glass panoramic roof is a notable feature because of the extra light and airiness it brings to the cabin.

The Silverado EV RST’s interior is roomy and luxurious, with features like heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, keyless ignition, and remote vehicle starting.

The interior has a large 11-inch gauge cluster, a 17-inch infotainment display, and a 14-inch heads-up display, and the dashboard has a dramatic sloping design. Eco-friendlier alternatives have replaced the leather, and the modular center console has plenty of cubby space.

Innovative Storage and Towing Capabilities

When the tailgate opens, the Silverado EV RST’s innovative MultiFlex Midgate expands to provide a load floor and storage capacity of up to 10’10”. The electric truck’s use is expanded by this clever design, which allows it to transport longer things.

GM plans to provide a tow option that will enhance the Silverado EV RST’s towing capacity to a whopping 20,000 pounds, making it a formidable rival in the electric truck market. The base towing capacity for the WT trim is 8,000 pounds.

Safety and Technology

The 2025 Silverado EV RST has a wide variety of advanced safety features, both standard and optional. The addition of towing-ready Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance technology justifies the RST trim’s premium price.

With its robust performance, cutting-edge features, and affordable price, the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST is poised to make a splash in the electric truck industry.

As the EV market expands, the Silverado EV RST is positioned to become a leading option for customers looking for a multifunctional, environmentally responsible, and powerful electric truck.

Chevy Silverado EV Trim Levels

WT

This Silverado EV will be the first on the market in the spring of 2023, unlike the GMC Hummer EV, which will be the entry-level model.

It will also have the lowest base price, at $39,900 (or $41’595 with the destination charge of $1,695).

Unlike the RST, the WT will not be packed with features, but it will be Ultium-based and employ GM’s new Ultifi software package, which supports frequent over-the-air updates.

In addition, a battery with a range of 400 miles and the ability to charge quickly (350 kilowatts) will be made accessible.

The engine can produce 510 horsepower (380 kW) and 615 lb-ft of torque (834 Newton meters). The WT has a maximum towing capability of 8,000 pounds and a bed capacity of 1,300 pounds.

Chevrolet revealed multiple range options would be available at the Silverado EV unveiling, but we know very little.

WT (Fleet)

After the WT was released, a fleet version of the vehicle was developed to meet the needs of businesses looking for a more rugged vehicle for their employees.

Both the towing capacity and the payload capacity will rise to 20,000 pounds. There will be more information about the fleet model later.

RST

The RST is up next, arriving in late 2023. The top-of-the-line model has unique features like four-wheel steering, flexible suspension, and a Multi-Flex bed with a revived midgate design.

With the Multi-Flex tailgate in place, the 5-foot-11-inch bed’s load floor expands to over 11 feet, while with the tailgate up, it can accommodate loads of over 9 feet.

It has a standard 400-mile range, Super Cruise, and Chevrolet’s Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode for accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. All-wheel drive and 664 horsepower (495 kW) make it possible.

RST First Edition

The RST First Edition kicks off the RST series of production runs. It’s a fully-featured RST. Chevrolet claims the price will be $105,000.

However, we have yet to determine the full breadth of its options. That’s a whopping $106,695 (with destination costs included).

Trail Boss

The mystery begins right now. Chevrolet didn’t reveal much about the Silverado EV Trail Boss beyond the fact that it will be available in the future.

One picture (at the top of this post) depicts a rugged pickup truck with tall, aggressive off-road tires. Gray dominates the front fascia, mirroring the WT versus body color contrast on the RST.

Starting prices could be around $50,000 to $60,000 if it follows the same tier system as the regular Silverado lineup. However, the RST is behind the Trail Boss in the regular Silverado lineup.

Other Silverado EV Models

What trim levels (LT, LTZ, Custom, and High Country) can we expect? Chevrolet has not confirmed any particular trim levels, but the company has stated that more trim levels are coming. We have heard that a high-definition remake is in the works.

Silverado EVs will have a wide range of prices, from $50,000 to $70,000. In conclusion, the Silverado EV will feature significantly more customization options as we move into the electric future.
